Set up and operates machine tools such as mills, lathes and CNC machine centers.

Responsibilities

*Knowledge of machining methods such as reading blueprints or operation sheets for product specifications, dimensions, tolerances and machine instructions.

*Under direction, selects positions and secures work piece in holding device, machine table chuck, centers or fixtures using clamps and wrenches.

*Will performs machine functions such as set up tool gage lengths, indicating fixture offsets and any other operations required prior to the "edit" operations.

*Operation of machine and verifies conformance of main work piece to specifications using measuring instruments such as fixed gages, calipers and micrometer.

*Performs deburring and polishing of product, as necessary, after removing product and/or work piece off the machine.

*Also, shop, tools, parts, and machine clean up are an important part of your duties.

Qualification

Entry level position.

Basic Conceptual Skills, Process Improvement, Functional and Technical Skills required.
